‘Personal data’ refers to information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (‘data subject’); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier. Personal identifiers are considered to be, for example, a name, an identification number, location data, online identifiers, or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

‘Processing of Personal Data’ means any operation or set of operations performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

Cookies

‘Cookies’ are small text files containing information considered relevant that devices used for access (computers, mobile phones, or portable mobile devices) load, through the internet browser, when a website is visited by the Customer or User.

Collection and Processing of Personal Data

Santiago Studio processes personal data strictly necessary for the provision of information and the operation of its channels, in accordance with the uses made by Users, Service Recipients, or Customers, whether those provided by Users or Service Recipients for the purpose of registering requests or obtaining information, those provided by Customers for the purpose of subscribing to those channels, or those resulting from the use of services provided by Sabrab through them, such as accesses, consultations, instructions, transactions, and other records related to their use.

In particular, the use or activation of certain features of the channels may involve the processing of various direct or indirect personal identifiers, such as name, residential address, contacts, device addresses, or geographic location, always with the express consent of the User, Service Recipient, or Customer.

In all cases, Users, Service Recipients, or Customers will always be informed of the need to access such data for the use of the functionalities of the channels in question.

Personal data collected by Santiago Studio is processed electronically, in certain cases automatically, including file processing or profile definition, and within the scope of managing the pre-contractual, contractual, or post-contractual relationship with Users, Service Recipients, or Customers, in accordance with national and EU regulations in force.

Purpose of Processing

All personal data processed within the scope of Santiago Studio’s channels is exclusively intended for providing information to Users, managing personal information of Service Recipients considered necessary for relationship management or communication purposes, as well as for the provision of services contracted by Customers and, in general, for managing the pre-contractual, contractual, or post-contractual relationship with Users or Customers.

The personal data collected may also be processed for statistical purposes, for information dissemination or promotional actions, and for commercial or marketing actions, namely to promote dissemination of new features or new products and services, through direct communication, whether by correspondence, email, messages or phone calls, or any other electronic communications service.

Always ensuring prior information and collection of express authorization for these latter purposes, Users or Customers may, at any time, exercise their right to object to the use of their personal data for purposes that go beyond the management of the contractual relationship, namely for marketing purposes, for sending informative communications, or for inclusion in lists or information services, by sending a written request to info@santiagoidstudio.com in accordance with the procedures indicated below.

Data Retention Periods

Personal data will be retained only for the period necessary for the purposes that motivated its collection or subsequent processing, ensuring compliance with all applicable legal standards regarding archiving.

Use of Cookies

Santiago Studio may occasionally use two main categories of cookies: cookies within online sites and cookies within direct electronic communication channels, always ensuring their deactivation by Users or Clients in either category.

Santiago Studio uses cookies on its online sites to improve the performance and browsing experience of Users and Clients, increasing response speed and efficiency on one hand, and eliminating the need to repeatedly enter the same information on the other.

The use of cookies helps online sites recognize Users’ and Clients’ devices the next time they visit, and is also, in some cases, essential for their functioning.

The cookies used by Santiago Studio, across all its channels, do not collect personal information that allows identification of Users or Clients, storing only generic information, such as the form or geographical location of access and how they use the channels, among others. Cookies only retain information related to Users’ and Clients’ preferences, and no personal identifiers are recorded.

Users, Service Recipients, and Clients can, at any time, through the computer application they use to browse the internet (‘browser’), decide to be notified about the receipt of cookies, as well as block their entry into their system.

Regarding the type of intended purposes, Santiago Studio may, whenever justified, use three different types of cookies, according to the following specifications:

  1. Essential cookies – some cookies are essential for accessing specific areas of online channels, allowing navigation and use of their applications, such as access to secure areas of sites through user registration – without these cookies, services that require them cannot be provided;
  2. Functionality cookies – functionality cookies allow remembering user preferences regarding navigation on online sites, thus not needing to reconfigure and personalize them each time they visit;
  3. Analytical cookies – these cookies are used to analyze how users use online sites, allowing to highlight articles or services that may be of interest to users, monitoring site performance, as well as knowing which pages are most popular, which method of linking between pages is most effective, or to determine why some pages are receiving error messages – these cookies are used only for statistical creation and analysis purposes, without ever collecting personal information.

With these purposes, Santiago Studio can provide a high-quality experience to Users or Clients, personalizing information and offers and identifying or correcting any potential problems that may arise in the context of their use.

Regarding the type of validity, there are two types of cookies:

  1. Permanent cookies – these are cookies that are stored on the devices used to access the channels (computers, mobile phones, etc.), at the level of the computer application used to browse the internet (‘browser’), being used whenever Users or Clients visit any channel again – in general, they are used to direct navigation according to the interests of the User or Client, allowing Santiago Studio to provide a more personalized service;
  2. Session cookies – these are temporary cookies that are generated and are only available until the session is closed, as the next time the Client/User accesses their internet browser, the cookies will no longer be stored – the information obtained allows managing sessions, identifying problems, and providing a better browsing experience.

Users and Clients can deactivate part or all of the cookies at any time – to do so, they should follow the instructions available in each of the computer applications used to browse the internet (‘browser’), however, by deactivating, they may lose access to some site functionalities.

Santiago studio, within the scope of direct electronic communication channels, may also use ‘cookies’ when opening different electronic communications sent, such as newsletters and emails, for statistical purposes – allowing to know if these communications are opened and verify clicks through links or advertisements within these communications.

Also in this category of ‘cookies’, Users and Customers always have the possibility to deactivate the sending of electronic communications through the specific option in their footer.

Data Recipient

Except in the context of compliance with legal obligations, under no circumstances will there be communication of personal data of Users, Service Recipients or Customers to third parties that are not subcontracted entities or legitimate recipients, nor will any other communication be made for purposes other than those referred to above.

Analytics

When visiting our site, statistical analyses of your browsing behavior may be made. This is essentially done using cookies and analyses. The analysis of your browsing behavior is generally anonymous, meaning we cannot identify you from this data. You can object to this analysis or prevent it by using certain tools.

Automated Data Processors

Most modern websites use external services to provide specific functionality. These are called Automated Data Processors. These services range from visitor analysis, video hosting, such as YouTube, or access to social networks, like Facebook. These third-party services collect personal data to provide functionality. Our website also uses some of these services.

Google Analytics Remarketing

The website uses Google Analytics remarketing features, combined with Google AdWords’ cross-device capabilities. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This feature allows linking target audiences for promotional marketing created with Google Analytics remarketing to the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords. This enables advertising to be displayed based on your personal interests, identified based on your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g., your mobile phone) on other devices (such as a tablet or computer).

Once you give permission, Google will associate your web and app browsing history with your Google Account for this purpose. That way, any device that signs in to your Google Account can use the same personalized promotional message.

To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated IDs of visitors that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create audiences for cross-device ad promotion.

You can permanently disable remarketing and cross-device targeting by turning off personalized advertising in your Google Account. The aggregation of the collected data in your Google Account data is based exclusively on your consent, which you may give or withdraw from Google (Art. 6 GDPR). For data collection operations not merged into your Google Account (for example, because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to the merging), the data collection is based on Art. 6 GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing anonymous visitor behavior for promotional purposes.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This site uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your Internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the visitor. If the visitor visits certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can recognize that the visitor clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page. Each Google AdWords advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of a Google AdWords advertiser. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for Google AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are informed about the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, advertisers do not obtain information that can be used to personally identify visitors. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out by easily disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. By doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
